Camp Incredible
By Kerri Brammier and Julie Wooton
Fifty five children participated in this year’s Camp
Incredible in Gutenstein, Austria. Evangel Temple from
Jacksonville, Florida provided a great team of counselors and
activity leaders during this fun-filled week. The kids learned
new songs, played games, met new friends, but most
importantly, they met Jesus Christ.

The evening services were simple, with only
the Holy Spirit to excite the kids. After a Tuesday evening
service, several children went down to the altar and started
weeping and praying before the Lord. The pastor asked for a
final song and was about to close in prayer, but the children
were not done. They continued singing worship songs and crying
out to the Lord. What a beautiful sight to see the kids
sincerely reaching out, and in turn, so sweetly touched by
God.
Some of the new families, and even some from other faiths,
were in attendance. Two little kids seem to change before the
eyes of the leaders as they heard possibly for the first time
about the love of Jesus. One young boy could not stop smiling
as he danced around during praise and worship.
At the end of the Thursday evening service, the leaders had a
chance to pray a final prayer with the kids. A small
6-year-old girl came up to a leader and told her, “Every time
I close my eyes and pray I see Jesus!” God must have great
things in store for the children of Gutenstein. He certainly
used this camp to touch their lives!
